Help us make an impact

Safety Net offers fundraising, volunteering and trustee opportunities to support survivors of abuse in Cumbria. You could host a bake sale, run an event, or donate your time. Whatever you choose, you’ll help provide therapy and hope for those rebuilding their lives.

Volunteers

Volunteers are a big part of Safety Net. They help through one-on-one befriending or by running activities like coffee mornings or walk-and-talk sessions. It’s a great way to make a real difference, learn new skills, and give back to your community. We are currently looking for volunteers with specific experience, please head to our Volunteer page for more information.

Fundraising

Your fundraising provides therapy and support for survivors of abuse. It helps children, young people, and adults rebuild their lives. Host a bake sale, take on a challenge, or get your workplace involved. We’re grateful for every pound raised.

Donate

We appreciate all offers of support, but at Safety Net, we prefer monetary donations over physical items. This allows us to provide the most flexible and immediate support to survivors of domestic and sexual abuse. Other organisations may be better placed to distribute clothing, toiletries, or household items to those in immediate need. Please donate via our JustGiving page if you wish to make a monetary contribution. Thank you.

Trustees

We are looking for trustees who will play a vital and strategic role at Safety Net. You will help us ensure our work is impactful, sustainable and aligned with our mission. Please head to our Vacancies page for more information.
