We offer face-to-face sessions and bespoke in-house training for businesses and schools in Cumbria. Soon, we will provide online courses through live webinars and pre-recorded sessions. Please sign up here to be updated when our online courses are available.
We understand that plans can change, and our cancellation policy is designed to be fair while covering the costs of running our training programmes. The refund options depend on whether your booking is for a face-to-face, on-demand or online course:
Once you’ve purchased and started accessing our online training, we’re unable to offer refunds. This is because digital content isn’t refundable once it’s been viewed or downloaded. We encourage you to check the course details before purchasing to make sure it’s the right fit for you. If you do run into any technical issues or have questions while learning, our team will be happy to help and support you.
Professionals should complete initial trauma-informed awareness training as soon as possible to build a foundation of safe and effective practice. After that, it’s best practice to attend annual update sessions (such as reflective practice workshops, scenario discussions or focused modules) to keep skills fresh and prevent drift from best practice.
A full refresher course is recommended every 2–3 years, ensuring professionals remain up to date with the latest research, guidance and legislation. In between refreshers, some roles (particularly frontline or leadership positions) may benefit from progressing to more advanced levels of trauma-informed practice or trauma-informed strategic leadership training.
Trauma-informed practice is not a one-off course. Regular training, refreshers and reflection ensure that professionals can continue to provide safe, effective and empowering support for those affected by trauma.
You don’t need specific prior knowledge – just a willingness to learn and engage.
Refreshments are provided for face-to-face sessions, but we recommend bringing your own lunch.
