Are you ready for an unforgettable challenge through some of the most breathtaking landscapes in the Lake District – all while supporting survivors of trauma across Cumbria?

🌟 Registrations open 5th January – be quick!

The Keswick to Barrow and Coniston to Barrow events are extremely popular, and in 2026 – just like in 2025 – they are expected to be oversubscribed.

πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ What is the Keswick to Barrow Challenge?

The K2B is a sponsored 40-mile walking (or running!) challenge from Keswick to Barrow-in-Furness. It’s not a mountain hike β€” but it is a serious endurance event with changing terrain and weather, and an incredible sense of achievement at the finish line.

You can also choose the shorter option:

🚢 Coniston to Barrow (C2B)

A 21-mile route starting in Coniston and joining the final half of the K2B course.

Both events take place on the same day.

Entering as a Team

K2B is a team event, and every participant must be part of a team to take part.

  • Teams must have a minimum of 4 members (and up to 12).
  • Walkers do not need to stay together – everyone can walk at their own pace.
  • All participants commit to raising funds for their chosen charity (that’s us!).

Whether you’re walking with friends, co-workers, family members, or joining as an individual who we can place into our Safety Net team, everyone is welcome.

Why Walk for Safety Net?

By choosing Team Safety Net, you’ll be helping us provide life-changing support to children, young people, and adults who have experienced domestic abuse, sexual abuse, trauma, and exploitation.

Every step you take helps us:

βœ” Provide specialist trauma-informed counselling
βœ” Deliver emotional wellbeing support to families
βœ” Reach more people in isolated and rural communities
βœ” Raise awareness of the support available across Cumbria

Your walk becomes part of someone’s recovery journey πŸ’›
